3. Continue regular pest control measures to protect against insects and rodents

4. Inspect for signs of termite damage and treat as needed

5. Check the exterior walls, siding, and foundation for cracks or damage and repair as needed

6. Secure or store outdoor furniture and other items that could become projectiles in a storm

7. Inspect windows and doors for proper sealing to prevent water intrusion and air leaks

8. Check the condition of window locks and door locks for security
